Our Story
55 Years of Passion for Animals
A family business rooted in Worcester, built on honest advice and a genuine love for every creature in our care.
Where It All Began
Dier & Plant opened its doors in 1971 at 158 High Street, Worcester — and we've been here ever since. What started as a small family venture has grown into one of Worcester's most trusted pet shops, now proudly run by the second generation of the same family.
For over 55 years we have specialised in tropical fish, birds, and small mammals. Every animal in our care is healthy, well-socialised, and ready to become a beloved part of your family.
We believe in honest advice above all else. Whether you're setting up your first aquarium, choosing the right bird for your home, or looking for a small companion for your child, we'll give you the straight truth — not just a sale.
What We Stand For
The values that have guided us for over five decades.
Animal Welfare First
Every animal in our shop is healthy, well-fed, and properly cared for. We will never sell an animal we wouldn't be proud to take home ourselves.
Family Business
Two generations of the same family have poured their hearts into this shop. When you walk through our door, you're treated like one of our own.
Honest Advice
We'd rather talk you out of a purchase that isn't right for you than make a quick sale. Our reputation is built on trust, not transactions.
